Mom's Day Continues
Hi Everyone. I hope these give you ideas and inspiration. They are fairly simple with no special flocking, ribbon, glitter, etc. They are mostly layered die cuts with an occasional sparkle. I think the paper is what makes them. I love Papertrey Ink paper because it makes the best embossing. I hope you enjoy. This weekend I also got my first Spellbinders borders and medallion. I fell in love. I don't like all of the poking you have to do to get out the small cuts but they are so beautiful on elegant cards and with elegant paper. I used the two borders from one set and the medallion. I also Cuttlebugged the bird with my Paisley cartridge (actually it could have been a Sizzix cartridge, I forget). I hope you like it. I do. Have a blessed day.

Never Enough of Mom
Here is another Mother's Day Card. I made this one with the word Mother from the Mother's Day 2010 cart and the hand and letter are from Sentiments.

Mom's Cards Continued
Another Mother's Day card for your enjoyment. I made this card with Cricut A Child's Year and it was fairly simple. I used white Papertrey Ink Cardstock which looks wonderful embossed. You don't get the same type of embossing out of less expensive cardstock because PTI Cardstock is so thick. I made a little popped up rectangle for the greeeting at the bottom. Added a Martha Stewart butterfly in the same Coredinations pink cardstock which I used for the mother and child. I hope you have a blessed and productive day.
Good bye.
Good bye.

My Mom is Great
I love my mom. She was the kind of mother that taught you right from wrong and then she let God do the rest of the teaching. I didn't appreciate her when I was young but she was firm and required that I do the right thing. I'm grateful for her firmness and steering me in the right path. She was a single parent because my father died when I was young but she made sure I was taken care of and I had my grandparents also to thank. I dedicate the following card to her and will be putting it in the mail for her to get around May 1.
I think the flower is from Once Upon a Princess. The greeting is from Paper Trey Ink.

More Mother's Day Cards
Here are two cards that have a lot in common. They only differ in some minor ways. One has the treading water punch down the side and embossing behind the Happy Mother's Day. Also I put an extra flower on one. The other has dots behind the Happy Mother's Day, no punch used, and only one flower.

Mother's Day Glove Card
Here is yet another Mother's Day card. I cut the Happy Mother's Day with the Mother's Day 2010 cartridge and the gloves are from Sentimentals. I embossed the gloves with a Cuttlebug folder and slightly inked them for a little variation in the color. I used papers from the Linen DCWV Mat Stack. That pack has some of the most beautiful and elegant papers. They are sure to please those moms who aren't really into brighter color but like elegance. The embossing and patterns on the papers are beautiful.
Have a blessed day!

Happy Mother's Day
Okay. You listened to my gripe so now for a new card. I just took pictures of them and didn't realize how many I have. I'll try to put up one every other day for the next couple of days. Thanks so much for your comments.
Hello
Okay I know this isn't a card but I just wanted to check in since it has been a few weeks. I have been making cards even though I haven't posted one in a while. I've just been feeling a little sad. I began doing cards because I love making them, spreading the word of God, and making people happy. Recently taking on some orders hasn't made me really happy to make them anymore. My Cousin Ashley loved her cards and made me truly feel the joy of why I make them. It hasn't been the same with every order. That said, I am going to continue through this period of reflection for a while but might not be posting quite as frequently. I guess I need a little encouragement. I thank you my followers for being my encouragement. I think card making is truly a work of the heart and not everyone understands that. TTFN as Tigger would say.
