My daughters and I made cards to give out at a nursing facility in my area. We made over 80 cards for them and 100 more for the troops this year. The people in the nursing facility loved the cards. It was wonderful to see the smiles on their faces on Christmas Eve.
Loving God and Bringing Joy Through Crafts. I love God. And I love crafts. I want to share my love of both.

Pay-It-Forward from MoeScraps
Pay it Forward
I found this over at http://www.moescrap.com/. she is doing this pay it forward.. so I thought.. what a great idea.. :)
"Pay It Forward" is the idea of blessing someone with a random act of kindness without expecting anything in return. It’s passing on a kindness, hoping that your recipients will do the same, and forming a never-ending chain of goodwill. But it isn’t only kindness, it is also a means to connect and share instead of just keeping it to ourselves.
"I promise to send an original creation to the 1st 5 people who leave a comment here. They must, in turn, post this, and send something they make to the 1st 5 people who comment on their status."
Here's what you need to do:
1. Leave a comment on this post. I will send a handmade gift to the first 5 commenters.
2. Create a post on your blog offering the same.
3. Send a handmade item to your first 5 commenters.
4. It must be sent to your 5 people sometime in 2011.
Please do not sign up unless you are fully committed to making your 5 items!

Teacher Thank You Cards
Here are some Thank You cards for teachers I made. I love the paper and the old vintage feel to the images. The paper was from an older Crate Paper stack I think. I have been moving away from Cricut and using more premade die cuts and dimensional ephemera. Thanks for looking.

First You Tube Video YPP Swap
This morning I posted my first You Tube video. Yay!!! It is on my channel named kdwcreative1. I made a Junk Mini Album for my swap partner Tami who is from Canada. If you'd like to see it click here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2WKQ8io-9-o
The theme for this swap was Flower Frenzie. I used quotes from Our Daily Bread Designs. I really enjoyed making the album after I stopped worrying and knew it had to get finished.

I was a bit intimidated by it at first and then I just jumped in after a bout of insomnia this morning and finished it off. I have included some pictures below. I hope you like it. I even got a positive comment from Tim Coffey. He has the lines of paper with K & Company. He is one of the sweetest most humble crafters I know and he has been helping a lot of crafters online by providing giveaways for their channels. I won his first blog candy and I was so happy.
Here are the pictures from my book. They look a lot better than the video because I took it on my Blackberry phone.
