Sorry I haven't put up much this month. I have been making mini albums mostly. I hope you and your family have a truly wonderful Christmas celebration. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son....
See you more soon.

Wedding Mini Album
I made this mini-album for a friend who invited me to her wedding. I wanted to use her wedding colors and I wanted it to be elegant but pretty. These are some highlights from the album pages. I used the Sweethearts and Wedding Cricut cartridges for most of the cuts. I hope you like it.

Mini Album
I have severely procrastinated when coming to making a mini album. I made a few last spring following tutorials by Kathy Orta at paperphenomenon.blogspot.com. I finally got back to making mini albums by myself. My first was purely some paper from K & Company and pictures from a friend's going away party. My second is a cookbook for a coworker who is always making wonderful cakes to share with her colleagues at work. I wanted to make a place where she could put some of her favorite recipes and some photos of her cooking with her grandkids. I hope you like my first attempt. I am also currently working on a wedding album that is way past due. I was so afraid it wasn't going to be good enough that I procrastinated on it too. It is coming together well though. I hope to be able to show you pictures of the wedding album soon.
Thanks for looking and have a wonderfully blessed day.

Pastor's Anniversary Card
I'm sorry that it has been a while since I posted. I'm going to try to get stuff up more often. I made this pastor's anniversary card with Cricut French Manor. I gave in and joined the Circle and it is a perfect lion cut to represent Jesus. It is a little plainer than I would have made it but the requester wanted it like this. I hope you have a wonderfully blessed day.

In my heart and prayers
Here is a sympathy or get well card. It could do for many different needs. I used a Tim Holtz Sizzix Embossing folder on the butterfly and the sentiment is from Our Daily Bread designs. I love their stamps. They are so appropriate for those who want to make religious cards. Their designers make beautiful cards as well. You can go visit their website at http://www.ourdailybreaddesigns.com/. The stamp set is called "Thinking of You" and can be found at http://ourdailybreaddesigns.com/thinkingofyou.html. They also have images that you can color for those who use Copic markers. Hope you have a blessed and highly productive week.

CKU Convention July 2010
Hi Everyone.
I just want to thank all of the new people that came by to visit because of Diane's posting. She is so sweet. I feel I met some of scrapbooking royalty. Her knowledge of Design Studio is beyond compare. Here is a little card I made a CKU in King of Prussia during July. I wanted to make more masculine cards and I loved this one. I found some brads that were great for older gentlemen. They were chunky and heavy weight. I also used paper from the Graphic 45 A Proper Gentleman Collection. I hope you like it.
Have a wonderfully blessed day.

Butterfly Card
Hi Everyone. I made a bunch of cards at the end of July and I'm just getting a chance to put them up. I was a bit hesitant about the patterned paper. I liked it but at first I thought I wouldn't be able to find an image that fit. This image is a butterfly from the Martha Stewart All Occasion Cartridge. I like it a lot. I embossed the butterly and used a bit of orange Coredinations cardstock to peep through the cutouts in the butterfly. I hope you like it. I put the flower to cover a bit of a stamping boo boo. That is why I cut out a U as well.
Have a wonderfully blessed day.

Thank You Cards
I have been looking at a lot of people's work online and have wanted to start distressing my cards. I haven't taken the dive yet. Sometimes I am hesitant about distressing cards because not everyone likes the older and more worn look. I have these simple A2 cards to share with you today. I made most with some Cricut and stickers from my stash. Have a wonderful day.

Wedding Card
This is a wedding card I created for a coworker. The wedding colors were orange and fuschia. I thought the redish color was fuschia before I saw it in the light. It is between fuschia and something else just I am not sure what. I used a Tim Holtz embossing folder on the Mr and Mrs. The cuts are from Cricut Sweethearts and another Cricut Cart which is escaping my mind right now.
Have a blessed day.

More Martha Cartridge Cards
I find the cuts from the Martha Stewart All-Occasion cartridge simple and elegant. They don't have too many layers and they look nice on cards. I sometimes have a little trouble with the borders because they have a lot of small holes to punch out but overall they are wonderful. I know that these borders will never give out like some of my punches have and you don't have to hurt your hand and try to align everything.
I hope you enjoy the following cards.

Bon Voyage Card
I made this card for a co-worker. I used the Summer Vacation Cricut cart for the plane and the suitcase. I pieced paper together for the runway. The medallion like cut in the background is from Storybook. I think the words are from Wild Card or Lyrical Letters and the border at the bottom is from the new Martha Stewart All Occassions Cartridge. I wanted the card to feel serene and tropical. I hope you like it.

Martha Stewart Cricut
Sorry I seemed to have dropped off the face of the earth. I didn't. I have been making cards and letting them leave my presence without photos. I consider those one of a kind, never to be copied cards (can't I dream). One day someone will show me one of them and I'll be like, wow, I forgot I even made that. Well yesterday I got my new Cricut cartridges yeah. I think the MS cartridges are great and I think that since I have a couple I'll never need another cartridge again. Now all of the cartridge money will go directly to savings (I can hope can't I). Well I hope you will enjoy the following card and I plan to make more of them really soon. The paper was from a K & Company stack and the little bling butterfly was from the Michael's dollar section.
I only cut out the welded thank you shadow. I used it as the primary image. The regular thank you wasn't welded and I was feeling lazy.

For Future Generations
If any of you crafters out there who make and post videos to You Tube ever wonder how your cards can change the world I can tell you how. My seven year old daughter Alicia loves you all (Momo with Made by Momo, Mary with Cricut Cardz TV, Christina from Creations with Christina, Robyn The Pink Stamper, and many more talented crafters). She and her sister are constantly over my shoulder when I watch your videos. So much so that they sound like they need to make their own video series. Alicia was explaining how she was going to add the glossy blue glue to make Spongebob look like he was in actual water. As you see she likes flowers and bows as well. I hope this card brightens your day as much as it brightened mine.
It is because of your example that she got all of the ideas for her additions (the water bubbles, the hand cut flowers, and the ribbon---of course). I helped her cut out Spongebob with the Cricut Markers. It is an excellent alternative to trying to cut out the tiny piece and put him together. We used the markers on white textured cardstock.
And here is one of my cards that I made for a young lady's graduation.
Hope you all are having a blessed day.

Beautiful Happy Retirement Card
Here is a picture of a card that I'm pretty proud of. Sorry about the glare. I felt guided as I put this one together and it is for a special lady. Hope you like it.

Get Well Card
Hello all.
Sorry I haven't put up much. It isn't because I haven't been making cards, just haven't found the time to put things up. Well here is a Get Well Card for a friend. I hope you like it but I must warn you, I took it at the last moment with my cell phone. It was really beautiful up close but a tad blurry here.

The paper is from DCWV Natural Pack. I love the browns in this pack and the glossy pieces too. I cut her name and added a little glossy accents to make it shine. The pearls are Zva which I love. They are definitely a treat to add to a card. Usually I only add a few but this card had to be special. Thanks for looking and have a wonderfully blessed day.

ALL NEW Cricut Lite Cartridge Information!!
For all of you who are interested in the new line of Cricut cartridges, here are a few links to help you research them.
There are two Youtube vidoes that I could find and both are by the same person.
One just shows a kind of shaky camera version of all the carts by Joy from joyslife.com.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A-3vGS6rSwU&feature=channel
Here is the Block Party cart that she bought. She shows the insert and things in the new plastic cartridge box.

Here are some pictures of the cartridges from the Cricut message board.
http://www.cricut.com/messageboard/tm.aspx?m=6752426
Samantha from http://www.thescrapmaster.blogspot.com/ has a lot more pictures. There are supposed to be 24 in all. I am thinking that the Robyn Pink Stamper (mypinkstamper.com) and Melanie and Joy from http://www.cricutholiday.com/ might have some projects with the new carts soon because they have been hinting at them for the past week or so. I hope this information is useful for you. My nearby Walmart doesn't have them yet. They are $39.99 for what I hear and they only have a shadow so they aren't full carts. Some are fonts and some are images. For the cat lovers out there there is definitely a cat cart among them.
Hope you are having a great weekend.
God bless.

My Pink Stamper Father's Day Challenge
Hi Everyone.
I decided to participate in the My Pink Stamper Father's Day Challenge to make a masculine card. I love the paper in the DCWV Guy Stack so I made this card using the Holiday Cake Cricut Cartridge car and paper from that stack. I hope you all like it and have a wonderful Memorial Day.

Mom's Day Continues
Hi Everyone. I hope these give you ideas and inspiration. They are fairly simple with no special flocking, ribbon, glitter, etc. They are mostly layered die cuts with an occasional sparkle. I think the paper is what makes them. I love Papertrey Ink paper because it makes the best embossing. I hope you enjoy. This weekend I also got my first Spellbinders borders and medallion. I fell in love. I don't like all of the poking you have to do to get out the small cuts but they are so beautiful on elegant cards and with elegant paper. I used the two borders from one set and the medallion. I also Cuttlebugged the bird with my Paisley cartridge (actually it could have been a Sizzix cartridge, I forget). I hope you like it. I do. Have a blessed day.

Never Enough of Mom
Here is another Mother's Day Card. I made this one with the word Mother from the Mother's Day 2010 cart and the hand and letter are from Sentiments.

Mom's Cards Continued
Another Mother's Day card for your enjoyment. I made this card with Cricut A Child's Year and it was fairly simple. I used white Papertrey Ink Cardstock which looks wonderful embossed. You don't get the same type of embossing out of less expensive cardstock because PTI Cardstock is so thick. I made a little popped up rectangle for the greeeting at the bottom. Added a Martha Stewart butterfly in the same Coredinations pink cardstock which I used for the mother and child. I hope you have a blessed and productive day.
Good bye.
Good bye.

My Mom is Great
I love my mom. She was the kind of mother that taught you right from wrong and then she let God do the rest of the teaching. I didn't appreciate her when I was young but she was firm and required that I do the right thing. I'm grateful for her firmness and steering me in the right path. She was a single parent because my father died when I was young but she made sure I was taken care of and I had my grandparents also to thank. I dedicate the following card to her and will be putting it in the mail for her to get around May 1.
I think the flower is from Once Upon a Princess. The greeting is from Paper Trey Ink.

More Mother's Day Cards
Here are two cards that have a lot in common. They only differ in some minor ways. One has the treading water punch down the side and embossing behind the Happy Mother's Day. Also I put an extra flower on one. The other has dots behind the Happy Mother's Day, no punch used, and only one flower.

Mother's Day Glove Card
Here is yet another Mother's Day card. I cut the Happy Mother's Day with the Mother's Day 2010 cartridge and the gloves are from Sentimentals. I embossed the gloves with a Cuttlebug folder and slightly inked them for a little variation in the color. I used papers from the Linen DCWV Mat Stack. That pack has some of the most beautiful and elegant papers. They are sure to please those moms who aren't really into brighter color but like elegance. The embossing and patterns on the papers are beautiful.
Have a blessed day!

Happy Mother's Day
Okay. You listened to my gripe so now for a new card. I just took pictures of them and didn't realize how many I have. I'll try to put up one every other day for the next couple of days. Thanks so much for your comments.
