In my heart and prayers

Here is a sympathy or get well card.  It could do for many different needs.  I used a Tim Holtz Sizzix Embossing folder on the butterfly and the sentiment is from Our Daily Bread designs.  I love their stamps.  They are so appropriate for those who want to make religious cards.  Their designers make beautiful cards as well.  You can go visit their website at http://www.ourdailybreaddesigns.com/.  The stamp set is called "Thinking of You" and can be found at http://ourdailybreaddesigns.com/thinkingofyou.html.  They also have images that you can color for those who use Copic markers.  Hope you have a blessed and highly productive week.

Happy Birthday Alicia.

My daughter Alicia turned 7 years old yesterday.  We went to Ihop to celebrate her birthday with pancakes.  The servers even came out to sing happy birthday to her.  She looked like a little deer in headlights.  She was more embarrased than happy.  Oh well.  I made some little treat bags for her class at school and she was so excited.  I think they came out pretty.  I used the Storybook marquis, Doodletype Font, and little butterflies from the Martha Stewart 3 butterfly punch.  I used the smaller butterflies as the dots for the "i"s in Alicia.  Well I hope you enjoy them.  She liked them and the attention they got.  The teacher loved that it wasn't cupcakes.  I tossed in a few M & Ms to provide a little sweetness to Chex Mix.  Sorry about the glare in the picture.  The cupcake paper and Alicia name paper has a sheen and it made it hard to photograph it well.  It is the Core'dinations cardstock and it is beautiful.  The white paper was American Craft which has a great texture and cuts well with the Cricut machine.

More Cards

Although my Cricut isn't working, I do have a few other cards to post that use Cricut carts.  I hope you enjoy these.

This card was made with Cricut Storybook.  All of the elements came from that cart except of course the bottom border from a Martha Stewart punch.  Also the paper is from DCWV I think but I definitely know it is from a paper back called Sorbet.  It is beautiful paper with pinks and purples, yellows and blues.  Both of these cards were made with paper from that pack.

This card started out with a mistake.  I had cut the shape from Storybook.  It was cut where part of it was by accident though another cut.  I had to make amends and I ended up cutting off the left right and bottom parts.  Now it looks almost like a book even though that wasn't my original idea.  I cut a blue square for the background of the sentiment which I typed on the computer.  The flower is from a blue die from many years ago. It is a fairly simple card and I wish I had added more to it but I didn't.  Hope you enjoy.

Also Inky Impressions Challenges blogspot has wonderful blog candy in celebration of her birthday.  Go by and check it out at http://inkyimpressionschallenges.blogspot.com/2009/09/my-birthday-blog-candy-inkys-mama.html

Thanks

I thank all of you who have joined from the bottom of my heart.

Here are a few more projects.  I'm going to put up scrapbook pages as well.  I just haven't gotten around to it yet.

This was with Storybook and the Martha Stewart punch around the bottom.

I got the butterfly from Storybook and I think the Happy Birthday is from A Child's Year.

The heart is from Storybook, the label is too.  The stamp is from Verve Stamps.
