More New Cards

Today I made a makeshift photo studio in order to take better pictures of my cards. I took a box from copy paper and covered it with white paper. I got the white paper from the covers of various cardstock packs I had purchased. Most of them fall apart when you start taking sheets out of them anyway so I had a great recycled photo box. I just cut the pieces to fit like panels inside the box. It was a little uneven where the handles were at but it does great for now and I don't have to purchase anything else.

The card above is made with a quote from the Our Daily Bread Designs Anniversary set 2. I used inexpensive rhinestones that I got from Michaels a couple of weeks ago and an image from the Storybook cartridge. I think it was cut at five inches. The panel behind the image was from cardstock I bought at Walmart. It was a pretty pack of pastel paper and cuts a lot better than the DCWV pastel pack which I had purchased. The paper underneath was cut in two panels and is from an old collection called Laura Ashley. It is really gorgeous paper but I'm not sure they make it anymore.

This is card was made from a quote from the ODB Design Anniversary quotes. I used cardstock from the Walmart pastel pack and the patterned cardstock is from a DCWV pack. I can't remember whether it was from the baby girl pack or another one.

This was made with panels cut from another sheet of the Laura Ashley paper and a two die cuts from the Cricut Storybook cartridge a frame and the a butterfly with the trail attached. I hate to say that the butterfly was really to cover up a spot of stray glue.

I love this card. I think the paper is from DCWV but I am not sure the pack. The cardstock was from a Bazzil Basics cardstock pack I got from AC Moore a while back. The paper was also used to make the blue background of the label in the middle but the white layer is from a pack of white American Crafts paper.

The paper with the flowers in the background is a purple Laura Ashley paper. The thinking of you is from the Walk in my Garden Cartridge. I made on of their cards and cut out the window and layered it with the same cardstock used in the purple panel. I embossed with purple panel with my Cuttlebug and I can't remember the folder but it had lots of vines and hearts. I also used the treading water punch from Fiskars. The butterfly is from Cricut Graphically Speaking.

This has two flowers cut from the Cricut Walk in My Garden cartridge. I cut the labels using storybook. The patterned cardstock in the background is from Diecuts with a View. The rhinestones are from a $1 pack at Michaels from Studio 18. They had them during the summer but sadly I haven't found them again.

The "for you" and the onesie is from the New Arrival Cartridge. I tried to do some inking around the edgest of the different panels. I think the paper is Heidi Swapp paper and is really cute. I used a blue Zig pen to draw around the outline of the for you and the onesie. The onesie is embossed with my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder.

NEW CARDS

I've been working hard this weekend and have been inspired by some bible verses I got from Our Daily Bread Designs. They are so beautiful that they make it easy to make cards with them. I have also been using the Cricut Storybook cartridges a lot with these designs. Hope you enjoy them.
